Since our foundation in 1865 by Septimus Gobdog and Josiah Schnurp, the agricultural engineering firm of Gobdog, Schnurp & Bogwort has been at the forefront of modern technological advances, wherever they may be found. Accordingly, we are proud to present our latest catalogue in electronic form, as well as the more traditional paper based version.

The Bogwort No.7 Oscillating Turnip Hoe.

It is perhaps surprising to the casual visitor that the Bogwort No.7 has changed little since its design was first perfected in 1919. However, the requirements of farmers for a robust and simple answer to the perennial problem of root-crop cultivation have changed little over the years. The No.7's frame is forged in our own works at Horton-cum-Studley, where quality is constantly checked by Albert Bogwort, great-grandson of the original designer. Later refinements include stabilised gruttock flanges and sintered splatch-plates, enabling us to provide a ten-year guarantee of reliable service.

The Bogwort & Schnurp mobile abbatoir.

With the current round of EU legislation regarding the licensing of slaughterhouses and like premises, is is perhaps surprising that Gobdog, Schnurp & Bogwort still find a ready market for this device. Nonetheless, the same high standards of production are as in evidence today as they were when this was first manufactured. The framework is constructed of seasoned hardwood which has been pressure-treated to ensure many years of trouble-free service. The internal surfaces are zinc-faced, with slate cutting platforms and integral drainage channels to facilitate liquid runoff.

The 'Dreadnaught' cattle-cake boiler.

A steady and reliable seller since 1870, the Dreadnaught is delighting a new generation of cattlemen with its sterling service and attention to detail. With the simple addition of a Wormelow-Sibley pressure reservoir, the Dreadnaught may be used as a rendering kettle for the on-farm production of glue, or the simple disposal of cattle carcasses. The upper casing boasts high-quality spigot valve castings and a bevelled trunnion assembly for easy maintenance.

The 'Gem' Chemical Mixing Bench.

A new addition to the catalogue, the Gem continues the Gobdog, Schnurp & Bogwort tradition of innovation, and represents our comittment to agricultural pest control. We have long realised that the best results when using farm chemicals have been achieved when the various types have been hand-mixed to provide a precise answer to an indiviual grower's needs. The Gem is manufactured in stainless steel and employs laboratory quality metering equipment to ensure perfect results time after time.
